Import your class schedule
Send Ovation a photo, a PDF or the text of your studio's timetable, and your dancer's classes are on their schedule once you have checked them.
- About 2 minutes
- Photo
- Paste text
Before you start
Add your dancer first, in Manage → Add dancer. The free plan includes your first two AI imports; Ovation Pro has no limit.
-
On the Schedule tab, tap +, then Class schedule.
-
Tap Import my schedule.
-
Under SELECT FILE, tap PDF, Photo or Camera. Or tap Paste the text and paste the schedule from your studio's email or portal.
-
Tap Import. Choosing a file only selects it; nothing is read until you tap Import.
-
Wait while Ovation reads it. It usually takes 10–20 seconds.
-
On Review Classes, check each class. Switch off any you don't need, and tap anything that needs fixing.
-
Tap the save button, which counts your classes (for example Save 6 classes), then Done. If the button names something to fix instead, such as 2 need a date, tap it to go to the first one.
Good to know
- A PDF works best. For a photo, lay the schedule flat in good light, with all the text in frame.
- Each class is marked Recurring or One-time. Tap the other one to change it.
- For recurring classes, add the season's start and end under SEASON / DATE RANGE, or leave it open for ongoing weekly classes.
- Classes already on your schedule come in switched off, so nothing is added twice.
- A long pasted schedule is imported in parts. Up to five parts, imported within an hour, count as one import.
If something goes wrong
- If a class is missing or wrong, tap Something missing or wrong? at the end of the review list. It opens a message to us with your schedule attached, and your review list is still there when you come back.
- If the import stops or finds no classes, tap Send this to us on that screen.
- If it was a studio calendar (closures, breaks and events), tap Import it as a studio calendar.
- For anything else, go to Manage → Get help. A real person reads every message.
