Ovation reads the competitions, studio closed days, and events from the studio calendar. Competitions are saved with their dates, and each break marked Studio closed lists the classes it cancels.

Can Ovation import a dance schedule from a screenshot?

Yes. Ovation reads a weekly class schedule from a screenshot or photo, a PDF, the camera, or pasted text, and shows you every class it found to check before anything is saved.

Can Ovation import a studio calendar?

Yes. Send the studio's season calendar as a PDF, a photo, pasted text, or a link to the page on the studio's website. Ovation marks each date Competition, Studio closed, Event or Other for you to check: competitions are saved with their dates, studio closed days cancel the classes you tick, and events are added for the whole family.

Can Ovation create recurring weekly dance classes?

Yes. Each imported class is one line under its day: a weekly class under EVERY and its day, such as EVERY MONDAY, and a class on one date only under ONCE and its date. Tap › on a class to check its day, time and teacher. Add the season's start and end for weekly classes, or leave it open for ongoing weekly classes.

Do I review dates before they are saved?

Yes. Ovation shows what it found before saving. Tick the classes your dancer takes, or tap each dancer’s initial when you have more than one, and tap › on a class to check it. Classes already on your schedule come in unticked, so nothing is added twice.

What happens to classes when the studio is closed?

Each break marked Studio closed lists the classes that meet on those dates, all ticked to start with; untick any that still meet. The rest stay on your schedule struck through and marked Skipped, and Ovation sends no class reminders for them. Studio closed days also apply to classes you add later on those dates.

Do imports cost anything?

The free plan includes your first two AI imports, and Ovation Pro has no limit. Typing classes in yourself is free.

Is Ovation only for dance competitions?

No. Ovation organizes weekly classes, rehearsals, studio dates, and competitions as part of the dancer’s full season.
